On 23 April 2018 the Joint IMPULSE – BESTSDI workshop “SDI education for stakeholder’s benefit” was held at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Banja Luka. It gathered many experts from different scientific fields in Banja Luka.
In the World Creativity and Innovation Week, April 15-21, 2018, the President of the Republic of Albania Ilir Meta visited the Faculty of Geology and Mining in Tirana. During his visit, he visited the GIS laboratory, equipped with Erasmus+ projects GEOWEB and BESTSDI, and talked with students and staff of the Faculty.
University of Defence, Serbia (UNID) organized the second Steering Committee, Project Management Committee and Quality Assurance Committee meetings, first Special Mobility Strand meeting and Inter-project coaching meeting in Belgrade, March 07-08, 2018).
At the Inter-project coaching meeting, Emina Drežnjak Hadžić (University of Sarajevo) presented the BESTSDI Project Objectives, Expected Results and current activities.
5th BESTSDI Workshop will be held on November 6-8, 2017 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Faculty of Science and Education (Geography building, room 1), Ulica Matice hrvatske b.b., Mostar.
After 1st BESTSDI Summer school held in June in Split, BESTSDI gathered again on 4th workshop. This time host was University of Montenegro, Faculty of Philosophy and workshop was held in their faculty premises in Nikšić. Even though this was a two-day workshop, it was a very important meeting with many activities ongoing. This was also last meeting in the first project year giving opportunity to see where the project was successful and where it needs extra push. More than 35 project participants gathered this time in center of Montenegro.
It is our intention to disseminate project information and communicate results with a broad audience. To achieve this, we are launching e-Newsletter. It should deliver information about our activities, events, results and activities tied to the project undertaken by project partners.
We hope that BESTSDI Newsletter will encourage broader discussion about teaching SDI at the institu-tions of higher education, and therefore, we are also open to reader’s opinions and discussion.
